Boston, MA [June 15, 2022] — Illuminate, an award-winning, Boston-based developer of innovative training programs for the global life sciences industry, is collaborating with Babson College, ranked the number one college for entrepreneurship by U.S. News & World Report, to offer Babson’s forward-thinking B-AGILE (Babson Accelerator for Growth, Innovation and Entrepreneurial Leadership) program to its life science organizations for the first time.

“Babson’s B-AGILE program is customized to each group to immerse learners in the entrepreneurial mindset, opening up creativity and sharpening their critical thinking skills,” said D. R. Widder, MBA ’99, Vice President of Innovation at Babson College. B-AGILE will build team members who are able to drive and inspire change in the rapidly evolving life science industry through personal growth, emotional intelligence, outside-the-box thinking, and leadership.

“In the current healthcare environment, we must not only continually envision new horizons and generate fresh ideas, but also anticipate and capitalize on every obstacle in order to grow and thrive,” said Shaun McMahon, president and founder of Illuminate and Babson class of ‘90 graduate in Entrepreneurial Studies. “That’s what makes B-AGILE an excellent opportunity for our clients. This fully virtual program combines the entrepreneurial knowledge of Babson with the industry expertise of Illuminate to create a unique curriculum structured specifically for life science sales professionals and tailored to the unique challenges inherent to the industry. Learners will be able to apply new business skills to drive themselves to become future leaders of their organization.”

The seven-week program will build learners’ leadership skills through 90-minute interactive sessions led by Babson faculty on topics such as business models and metrics, innovation, financial acumen, leadership, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Through a combination of interactive case studies, class discussion, and team projects, participants will learn new ways of thinking to solve difficult problems, assess and mitigate risk, and learn techniques to lead with empathy and inclusivity.
Graduates become an energized network within the organization, sharing a common vocabulary, innovation mindset, and set of practical tools to create new ideas, develop solutions, and advance them to be people of impact.

“Participants in the B-AGILE program have had great success implementing the strategies they learned in the program within their organizations,” said Kevin Sullivan, Vice President of Corporate Engagement at Babson College. “We’ve seen the impact our B-AGILE graduates have had in other organizations and industries and are eager to expand into the life sciences learning and development market as well. Given Illuminate’s proven leadership in the field, we couldn’t have picked a more fitting collaborator for this mutually beneficial collaboration.”
