[On-Demand Recording] Empathy is Your Ace in the Hole to Create and Navigate Change with Customers, Colleagues and CEOs

Did you know there are seven cognitive barriers to expressing empathy? Among business leaders, the struggle to express empathy effectively while pushing towards goals of sales, productivity and service, is emerging as one of their biggest challenges. Despite recognizing the need to connect with their teams as individuals, well over half of employees say they “never” or “rarely” feel that support from their boss.

As a society we’ve bought into the idea that good people naturally and easily express empathy, and that the struggle to do is evidence of an underlying character flaw. None of the research backs up this idea however, expressing empathy is a skillset – one that leaders can develop quickly and effectively as soon as they recognize that it’s not an inherent trait. Even better?

Dr. G will outline the strategies to use this one skill to create new initiatives or implement existing ones, and to move customers and their own people (at any spot on the org chart) towards that change successfully!
