Bridging the Gap Between Science and Instructional Design to Create a Compelling Patient Journey

June 8, 2023 @ 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

A compelling patient journey involves storytelling, using narrative to help learners understand complex topics, and modeling best practices for patient-centric approaches. It can be created using real-life examples, case studies, or fictional scenarios that identify a patient’s goals, desires and constraints, and lead to deeper cognitive processing.

Join us for this 30-minute LTEN webinar, sponsored by Springer Healthcare Training, as we explore the intersection of science and instructional design to demonstrate how a patient journey can be optimized for high-level learning. Learning designer Lori Salamida will share proven strategies for creating realistic, patient-centered journeys that encompass the full range of experiences of a person using healthcare services.

You will learn how to:

  • Leverage social cues (such as the use of conversational style and human voice) to generate a strong learner response.
  • Map a journey that uncovers the most important points in the patient treatment experience.
  • Create a patient journey that is structured to align with the workings of the human brain.

Register today for this free, LTEN webinar. (Not an LTEN member? Join today and realize the value.)
