Technical Requirements & Troubleshooting
Q. Which devices can be used to access the content?
A. The following devices are supported:
- Windows XP/7/8/10 laptops and desktops
- Macintosh laptops and desktops
- Android tablets
The content will function on iOS and Android-based phones, but this is not recommended since the content was designed to be read on a larger screen.
Q. Which browsers can I use?
A.The following browsers are supported:
- Internet Explorer 9/10/11
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
- Google Chrome*
- Safari (mobile or desktop)
- Android Browser
- Any other browser featuring full HTML5 support
*If you are unable to advance with Google Chrome when attempting to click “Launch” on the first page of the module, please switch to another browser from the supported list. There is a known issue with some instances of Chrome that we are working to resolve. Until resolution is found, moving to another supported browser is recommended.
Q. I received an error when viewing the content. Are there any special settings I need to use?
A. You will need to ensure that cookies are enabled in the browser. Most desktop browsers will do this automatically, but iPads are often set with cookies rejected by default. You will recognize this problem if, upon launching the content, you receive an error message containing the word “cookie” in place of the content (the remaining text will vary, but if the message mentions cookies, you will know they need to be enabled.)
To enable cookies in Safari, go to Settings from the iPad home screen. On the lefthand side, select Safari. Scroll down to “Allow Cookies From Websites I Visit,” and set this option to “Always Allow.”
You will also need to disable any pop-up blockers. The content will inform you if you have one enabled, and provide you with a button to bypass this; however for the smoothest experience we recommend disabling blockers.
Q. Is there any other software I need?
A. In order to view your PDF certificate, as well as the followup materials, you will need a PDF reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Acrobat Reader installed, it can be downloaded free of charge here: https://get.adobe.com/reader
