Keynote Speakers Announced for 48th LTEN Annual Conference

January 1, 2019, Roanoke, VA – The Life Sciences Trainers & Educators Network (LTEN) is delighted to announce the line-up of keynotes for the LTEN Annual Conference – the world’s largest gathering of life sciences trainers and educators, which will be held in Grapevine, Texas on June 3-6, 2019.
Each year, the organization invites some of the world’s foremost authorities on business, leadership, and technology to the LTEN conference. This year, the conference keynotes will focus on two key areas – Leading Edge Technology & Innovation and Resilience & Motivation.
Shawn Achor will be delivering the opening keynote address on Tuesday, June 6, 2019. Achor is the winner of over a dozen distinguished teaching awards at Harvard University, where he delivered lectures on positive psychology in the most popular class at Harvard. His research and lectures on happiness and human potential have received attention in The New York Times, Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal, as well as on NPR and CNN Radio. When not at Harvard, Shawn travels around the world giving talks on positive psychology to Fortune 500 corporations, financial institutions, schools, and nonprofit organizations. He is the CEO of Aspirant, a global positive psychology consulting firm which researches positive outliers people who are well above average to help consult organizations on where human potential, success and happiness intersect.
Recently, Achor sat down with Oprah at her house to discuss the science of happiness, defining success and how we can bring the powerful research-based techniques of positive psychology to the world.
Col. Nicole Malachowski (USAF, Ret.), first woman Thunderbird pilot, combat veteran, fighter squadron commander, White House fellow and adviser will deliver a keynote drawing on her extraordinary Air Force career, offering lessons on leadership, followership, and overcoming adversity. A former fighter squadron commander and mission-ready pilot in three operational fighter squadrons and the first woman to fly on the Air Force Thunderbirds, Malachowski will share strategies to shift thinking about the headwinds of change – organizationally and personally.
Seth Mattison, an internationally renowned expert, author and futurist as well as founder and chief movement officer of Luminate Labs will be delivering a keynote exploring workforce trends and business performance. Seth advises many of the world’s leading brand and organizations on the key shifts happening around talent management, change and innovation, leadership, and the future of work.
