Richard Baron has been named to join the LTEN Board of Directors, filling a seat vacated when Carrie Schaal left her position at AstraZeneca. His appointment begins immediately.
As Executive Director, Human Pharma Training and Development, for Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Baron leads a team responsible for the training of more 2,000 associates, as well as internal marketing and enabling functions. He’s been in that position since May 2013 and with Boehringer Ingelheim since June 1994, starting as a sales representative and working up to lead marketing projects and departments since 1999.
“Rich’s extensive background in life sciences marketing and enablement will bring valuable experience to his new Board role,” said Dawn Brehm, Executive Director of LTEN. “In addition to his expertise in training, his insight and understanding of the marketing component will be a valuable resource to help LTEN better support and serve its varied and growing membership.”
