With more than 75 LTEN members gathering together, the Sept. 12, 2017 LTEN Network After Work mixer was one of the most successful networking programs of the year. The Sept. 12 program, sponsored by Illuminate, Informa Training Partners and Unlimited Performance Training, was held at the Chicago Marriott Deerfield Suites.
Hosts of the Chicago mixer were Chuck Pearson of Astellas and Evelyn Nichols of Informa. Nichols couldn’t attend the event due to Hurricane Irma travel delays, but Linda Toscano of Informa stepped in for her to welcome the attendees. Also welcoming the group of LTEN members and prospective members were Pearson, Shaun McMahon of Illuminate and Kimberly Farrell of Unlimited Performance Training. LTEN Board of Directors member Ashley Bentley of Baxter Healthcare also attended to support the mixer, along with members of her team.
The Chicago mixer also including a special guest presenter, Karen Herubin, who leads specialty training, development and operations at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. Herubin involved attendees in a presentation on new hire training by including group discussions on best practices in building curriculums.
Thanks to everyone for attending, to Karen for her engaging presentation and to Chuck, Evelyn, Linda, Shaun and Kimberly for their welcomes, as well as to Illuminate, Informa and Unlimited Performance Training for sponsoring the event.
