By Joe Wilmoth

#LTEN2022 is a perfect place to find education, partners and connections

Thinking back to the multiple LTEN Annual Conferences I have attended through the years always brings a smile and fond memories.  Every year, the conference guarantees a meaningful agenda, valuable learning and a fun-filled experience.  Plus, the opportunity to engage with fellow learning & development (L&D) professionals is an ideal foundation for keeping our community connected.

The theme for #LTEN2022 is “Building a Community & Culture of Learning” and in true LTEN style, a superb agenda has been designed with some of the top L&D professionals and leading partners coming together to support our L&D community.  Whether you’re new to training or a seasoned training professional, #LTEN2022 is a perfect opportunity to find the education, partners and connections to excel in your role.

In the spirit of encouraging each of you to attend this year’s event, here are the top 10 reasons to attend #LTEN2022:

1. Learning Tracks and Workshops

Every year, the list of options for workshop tracks becomes even more dynamic.  This year will be no different with more than 70 workshops across 12 different content learning tracks plus dozens of microlearning labs dedicated to tactics and skills that support our roles as L&D professionals.  Learning tracks include adult learning principles, instructional design and delivery, learning technology, field training, measurement, technologies and many more.

2. Meet the New LTEN Executive Director, Dr. Katie Herndon

LTEN is excited to announce Kathleen (Katie) Herndon, Ph.D, as the new executive director!

Dr. Herndon has more than 10 years’ experience leading trade associations, nonprofits and professional networks like LTEN, including her previous position as executive director of the Marine Technology Society (MTS).  LTEN is thrilled to have her leadership, and we can look forward to meeting her at #LTEN2022.

3. Keynote Speakers

Highlights from every LTEN Annual Conference include the outstanding keynote speakers, and this year guarantees to be a memorable experience – three, in fact!  #LTEN2022 is proud to bring three keynote presentations focusing on courageous leadership, perseverance and unleashing your best life and work.  Get ready to be entertained and inspired!

4. Connect with L&D Peers

Our L&D network is small, yet vast – and nothing compares to connecting face-to-face with your peers.  Find smart solutions and best practices from fellow LTEN attendees.  Reunite with former L&D colleagues.  Connect with new peers.  Expand your network to enhance your role and skillsets.  #LTEN2022 is the place to be for meeting enthusiastic L&D professionals.

5.  Design Your Personalized Learning Experience

Craft a personalized learning agenda to get the most out of your experience by choosing from expert-led workshops, content learning tracks and microlearning labs.  Stay tuned to the #LTEN2022 website and preview the variety of content learning tracks to be offered.  Then, you can select your top interests to attend during the conference.  The challenge becomes how to fit them all into your schedule.  Enjoy the Learning Labs!

San Antonio is rich in history, bursting with culture and booming with modern attractions.  Plus, the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country is in the heart of the beautiful Texas hill country.  This year’s host hotel is sure to provide a traditional Texas welcome and a perfect backdrop for #LTEN2022.
