Don Cope is a sales, marketing and training & development professional specializing in unique solutions that translate into measurable results.  He combines the latest technologies and simulation techniques to deliver engaging programs that result in clients achieving their organizational objectives.

A former executive of Johnson and Johnson, the largest healthcare corporation in the world, Don has more than 30 years of successful experience leading sales, marketing, and training organizations.  His international experience includes serving on the management board of Janssen-Cilag, Australia.  He has received more than a dozen major awards including one for designing a unique Virtual Reality training experience that helped healthcare professionals understand the symptoms of a challenging medical condition.  

Don’s experience in leading training, sales, and marketing organizations spans a variety of disease states including oncology, nephrology, wound care, gastro-intestinal disorders, psychiatry, neurology, infectious disease and solid organ transplant.  A graduate of Purdue University, Don holds a BS in Industrial Management/Marketing while his graduate level work was in Education Administration. 

Don is an author of two books, the most recent being The STAR Manager which takes the reader through a variety of virtual mentors who provide fresh perspectives on key aspects of sales management.  

Don founded Shinestar Consulting Services in 2009, serving pharmaceutical and medical device companies both domestically and internationally.  Shinestar provides highly customized management training and development programs designed to make all participants “STAR Managers.”
