The Successful Virtual Classroom: 5 Keys to Success

Thursday, April 2, 2020 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM EDT

The coronavirus has quickly changed how trainers and educators connect with students; preparing for live virtual classroom delivery has never been more important. Bridging the distance between the trainer and participants in the virtual classroom requires a variety of facilitation techniques to keep participants engaged and ensure learning outcomes.

Join us for this LTEN webinar as Darlene Christopher, senior knowledge and learning officer for the World Bank, shares five things you can do to become a better live virtual classroom facilitator and presenter. Participants will leave the session with practical ideas they can implement for their own virtual classroom programs, including:

  1. How to adapt in-person facilitation techniques for use in a virtual classroom setting.
  2. Techniques to make up for the absence of body language to keep participants engaged.
  3. Strategies to adjust content, images and exercises for a live virtual audience. Attend this special webinar and be entered into a drawing to receive one of five copies of Darlene Christopher’s book, The Successful Virtual Classroom.
Our Presenter:

Darlene Christopher, CPLP, has designed and delivered virtual training programs for global audiences for 15 years and has authored a book, The Successful Virtual Classroom, on the subject. She is a Senior Knowledge & Learning Officer at the World Bank in Washington D.C.
