The Power of Perception: Leadership, Emotional Intelligence and Gender
Friday, June 1, 2018 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM EDT
Women today account for more than half the workforce and 60 percent of college graduates in the U.S. and Europe. Yet, they are still not making inroads into leadership positions. In addition, emotional intelligence has been shown to be a key aspect of leadership effectiveness, and EQ assessments have found men and women to be strong in different areas. These differences often advantage men and disadvantage women at work. As training professionals, it's essential to understand the issues that keep women from advancing as part of your leadership development strategies.
Join us for this LTEN webinar to learn how to create a talent development and training strategy to develop and support your learners, as well as to boost your own career. Dr. Shawn Andrews will discuss findings from her research and new book, “The Power of Perception: Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, and the Gender Divide.” She’ll also address practical strategies for building a more diverse & inclusive workforce, as well as individual career advancement strategies. Two webinar attendees will be selected in a drawing to receive a free, autographed copy of Dr. Andrews’ new book.
