Competency-Based Training in the Medical Device Industry

The use of technology in healthcare has increased significantly over recent years to support more complex treatments. Because of the increasing complexities of medical devices in the use of treatments, there is a greater potential risk of causing harm to patients. It is imperative that staff who are using medical devices are safe and competent to do so, with both professional regulations and national legislation to follow. However, there is currently no standard national approach to training and competency.

From Perplexed to Prepared: How Roche Evolved New Hire Onboarding

Think back to your onboarding experience. Was the training focused solely on product and selling skills, or did it include more?
