Richard Sampson Announced As New SPBT Board Treasurer
ROANOKE, VA— January 27, 2014— The Society of Pharmaceutical and Biotech Trainers (SPBT) announced that Richard Sampson will start in his new role as board treasurer effective immediately.
Mr. Sampson has over two decades of healthcare industry and leadership experience in the dermatology, ophthalmics, oncology, pain management and primary care spaces. His vast background makes him an excellent selection for the position of treasurer. His previous roles have included market development manager, district sales manager, director of national accounts, regional business director, national training director and director of US sales. Mr. Sampson earned his MBA with a Technology Management focus from Georgia Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Freed Hardeman University. He is currently the senior director of scientific knowledge capabilities for GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
When elected to hold this officer role, Mr. Sampson shared that "he was excited to continue working with the talented sales training leaders on the board of SPBT, and that he looked forward to continuing to learn from those around him as he serves in this expanded role”.
