Mike Bell of Takeda Pharmaceuticals has been named to the LTEN Board of Directors. Bell is replacing Chris Goins on the LTEN Board. Goins resigned from the Board after leaving his position at Bristol-Myers Squibb.
The LTEN Board of Directors is made up of life sciences training leaders who oversee all LTEN operations, events and publications, as they guide and manage the organization. Bell’s appointment begins immediately.
As head of commercial training and leadership development for Takeda, Bell is responsible for sales training, commercial training operations and leadership development teams. Bell joined Takeda in 2005 as a district manager, and held several other positions, including director of sales training, before taking on his current role in April 2016. Prior to joining Takeda, Bell also worked in sales positions for Pfizer and Muro.
“With more than 20 years of experience in life sciences sales and training, Mike is a great choice for the LTEN Board,” said Dawn Brehm, executive director of LTEN. “While we’ll miss working with Chris, who has been a strong supporter of LTEN, Mike will bring a nice combination of experience in both sales and training, and his insights will be a valuable addition to the Board and for LTEN members.”
The Life Sciences Trainers & Educators Network (www.L-TEN.org) is the only 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the professional goals of trainers and educators in the life sciences. Founded in 1971, LTEN has grown to more than 1,700 individual members who work in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and diagnostic companies.
