The Life Sciences Trainers & Educators Network Welcomes New Advisory Council Members
Roanoke, VA December 9, 2014 ̶ Today, the Life Sciences Trainers & Educators Network (LTEN), the nation’s only nonprofit organization solely devoted to strengthening training in the healthcare industry, has announced the addition of three new members to the LTEN Advisory Council.
New Advisory Council Members
The newly appointed council members include experts in commercial education, marketing, sales training, strategic learning and leadership development.
The new council members include:
- Merrill Collier, Senior Manager, Training & Education, Thoratec
- Melissa Lowe, Director of Medical Education and Sales Training, Extremity Fixation, Orthofix
- Rob Terrell, Commercial Educator Director, Molecular and Tissue Diagnostics, Roche Diagnostics
"On behalf of the board, I am pleased to welcome the new additions to the LTEN Advisory Council, their willingness to volunteer and the knowledge and experience they bring will be a real benefit in helping LTEN as it looks to become a powerful force in the life sciences training industry," said John Sjovall, LTEN board president and executive director, sales training & development, Daiichi Sankyo. “Additionally, these new members will provide valuable input to help us better understand changes taking place within the global healthcare marketplace, as well as the medical device and diagnostics space.”
The Advisory Council consists of training leaders from a variety of life science organizations and provides input to the Board of Directors on programming, events and other decisions that affect the organization.

The Life Sciences Trainers & Educators Network (www.L-TEN.org) is the only 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the professional goals of trainers and educators in the life sciences.
