After two years at the helm of the Society of Pharmaceutical and Biotech Trainers, Carol Wells of Genentech is completing her term this month as SPBT Board President. John Sjovall of Daiichi-Sankyo will be taking the reins for 2014 and 2015, following in Carol’s accomplished footsteps. As her term comes to an end, Carol shares some closing thoughts that reflect on the Society’s growth and look ahead to the future.
"It's hard to believe that the time has passed so quickly, but it has not passed without tremendous progress," Carol shared. "In 2014, you will see an enhanced strategy, a new organization name and an increasingly exciting outlook for our society of dedicated healthcare training professionals." Read More

Does my team need social media training? We know from experience that training supports sales and helps grow business. Is this a more intuitive, natural area that flows on its own, or can training help harness that power as well?

|From the SPBT Team: Warm Holiday Wishes|
Finally, we’re in the home stretch for 2013. It looks like 2014 will be more of the same, with the industry continuing to evolve and SPBT – and SPBT members – along with it. With this evolution will come new training needs, new solutions and new successes.
As we stand at the brink of this new world, it’s appropriate to take a moment to catch our collective breath and share the magic of the holiday season with our clients, colleagues, friends and family. On behalf of the SPBT leadership and staff, best wishes for a happy holiday season and a safe and prosperous New Year.
